Staying Prepared for a Wildland Fire

While this weekend’s forecasted precipitation will hopefully help slow down fire activity across the state, fire season is not over! In the parlance of firefighters, this will be a season-slowing event. For a season-ending event, we need at least 2 inches of sustained rain. High pressure is supposed to rebound and drier conditions are expected by the end of next week.

Bitter Root RC&D's 2019 Accomplishments

The Bitter Root RC&D is responsible for fuel mitigation grant funding programs within Ravalli, Missoula (except the Blackfoot drainage) and Mineral Counties. The main goal of these grant programs is to reduce fire risk on private land.

Communities Prepare for Future Wildfires
